Mud Creek Rotary LIFE Fund Supporting Learning for Everyone

Ten schools will have access to financial support to assist students facing barriers to full participation in school activities, thanks to the Mud Creek Rotary Club’s LIFE fund.

The LIFE (Learning is for Everyone) fund was first established in 2009 through a partnership between Wolfville School and the Mud Creek Rotary Club. Over the years, the LIFE fund has helped ensure students have the things they need to fully take part in class or school-based activities—items such as eyeglasses, proper athletic shoes, personal hygiene items or professional care for a health issue that falls outside of provincial health coverage.

Now, the program is expanding to 10 schools in total, making $1,000 available to each school. Principals at the following schools will have the ability to administer the fund to address specific student needs as they arise during the school year:

  • Berwick and District School
  • Central Kings Rural High School
  • Coldbrook and District School
  • Evangeline Middle School
  • Hantsport School
  • Horton High School
  • Kings County Academy
  • Northeast Kings Education Centre
  • West Hants Middle School
  • Wolfville School

Sincere thanks to the members of the Mud Creek Rotary Club for generously supporting students and our communities!
